This is me - the face behind the lens...
I am Territory girl through and through and love incorporating the picturesque areas around Darwin, Palmerston and the rural areas into the backdrops of my photos. I enjoy working with each and every client to ensure we bring your vision to life and have fun while doing so. I love documenting all moments in your life, from your first family portraits, to celebrating an anniversary, to capturing your first moments as husband and wife, I work with you every step of the way to give you a portrait experience that you will cherish forever.
I often get asked about how I got into photography, so here is a little bit about my journey so far.
I first started photography while travelling SA & WA, cooped up in my parents Jayco Expander caravan in 2009. After 6 weeks of travelling, I had, had enough and was 'bored,' and over being stuck with my parents. I took interest in their Canon 1100D DSLR camera and used this to pass my time through our travels up the West Coast of WA back home to Darwin.
Two years later and this is where my real passion for photography began. Having been involved with speedway since I was 10 days old, I had grown up with the love of speed and it intrigued me as to how I could capture that within a photograph. Fast forward a 10 years, and I am a nationally accredited Speedway Photographer having many images published in numerous publications both online and in print for the past 8 years, showcasing my love for the sport.
Surprisingly, my passion of speedway and interest in photography led me to begin shooting portraits, when a few people I knew through speedway, asked if I could photograph family portraits for them. I evidentially enjoyed working with them and quickly found myself wanting to shoot more portraits and now 2020, sees me going into my 5th year as a portrait photographer.
In March 2019, I welcomed my son into the world and since becoming a mum, I am more obsessed with documenting every little moment than ever. Time goes so quickly and often photographs are the only thing remaining to remind us of the memories and times that seem to pass us by in the blink of an eye. I cannot believe how fast time has passed since he was born. It is a true reminder that the best time for a portrait experience is NOW!
Now is the time to get in front of the lens. Now is the time to celebrate you, celebrate your family, and your partner. You never get this precious time back, so you may as well enjoy it. I know I have been making sure I jump in front of my camera to be present in photographs with my son more than I thought I would, but I am so glad I have as they are there forever.
I hope to see you in front of my lens soon,
